Mike Beck's premiere CD has been released in Europe under the title Chicago Mike. The CD features eight original songs and a cover of Soulshine, penned by sometime Allman Brother Warren Haynes. This song was first brought to Mike's attention by bluesman Larry McCray who contributes fantastic guitar work to this version of Soulshine and the Mike Beck original Johnny Y. Additional special guests on the CD include harmonica virtuoso Howard Levy, and folk diva Nora O'Connor.
Other performers on the CD include Frank Curtis (who toured with Mike and Big Eyed Beans From Venus in Holland, Germany and Belgium in Fall 2002), bass magician Drew Frink, Toney Ventura, Alex Hall, Steve Kouba, and many more.
