Mike Beck CD
Recording Sessions

Sabin Recording - Northbrook, Illinois
Tuesday, August 6, 2002

Chicago folk music diva Nora O'Connor blessed the Mike Beck CD with her incredible vocals. Here are a few photos from the session.

Mike: "I first worked with Nora in 1987 when we formed an acoustic trio with Toney Ventura called Dead Flowers. We performed acoustic covers of Rolling Stones songs, old soul tunes, and an Elvis Costello tune. This was the first band I ever put together, and the first band that Nora was a member of. She started playing guitar around this time... Now, she blows me away. She's awesome."

Nora is a beloved songwriter and performer in the Chicago area and continues to tour the world with Rykodisc recording artist Andrew Bird's Bowl of Fire. Check out her music and performance calendar at her web site www.noraoconnor.com. Thanks, Nora! It was wonderful hearing you sing with me again.
