The Wall & Tommy Live!
featuring Pink Noise & My Generation
Oosterhout, The Netherlands
Friday, May 9, 2003

Two spectacular Dutch tribute bands in a big tent in the middle of nowhere! An amazing show!

My agent Arja Stam was interested in checking out Who tribute My Generation and asked me if I wanted to join her and her boyfriend Adrie for the show. My friend (and former co-host of WIDB's Jambalaya Blues & Rhythm Revue) Dave "Muddy" Watt joined us too... And what a show!

My Generation put out a fantastic rendition of The Who's Tommy. The lead singer / bassplayer chick was AWESOME! Great voice and seemingly boundless energy onstage. Their guitar player was also fantastic --- Really on it!

Pink Noise's production of The Wall was un-freakin'-believable! The production's cast and crew must have been comprised of over 50 people! With dramatic vignettes, mechanical props, a first-class lighting rig and a faithful, yet inspired musical performance by Pink Noise, the show was truly a spectacle. As did Pink Floyd during their 1980 tour, Pink Noise constructs a full scale wall throughout their performance, eventually obscuring the band almost entirely! The climax of the show, of course, occurs when the wall crumbles while the band rips out the finale. Yowza!

Pink Noise came back to the stage for several encore numbers, including material from Dark Side of The Moon. Pink Noise's The Wall isn't presented often... If you ever have the opportunity, I highly recommend catching this show!
